R&D Chemist – Mass Spectrometry

Consider this exciting opportunity to join an innovative scientific instrumentation company working at the forefront of Mass Spectrometry development in Austin, Texas!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and research scientists to develop new applications for ion trap mass spectrometers
  • Perform pre-sale method development and sample analysis
  • Perform instrument demos for customers and clients and write SOPs / technical notes
  • Assist in managing project team members (e.g., lab technicians), troubleshooting instrument, and maintaining lab operations

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. in analytical chemistry / chemical engineering / related field (M.S. or PhD preferred)
  • Use of ion trap mass spectrometry and related software
  • Gas chromatography and/or liquid chromatography method development experience
  • Excellent drive to learn and proven communication and organization skills

Salary:

  • Competitive salary (80-140K+) commensurate with experience
