Outside Sales – Preclinical CRO

California (Hybrid)

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development or Outside Sales professional to play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding business for the US market of an established and rapidly growing contract research organization (CRO) offering customized solutions in biotechnology and pharma.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help develop and maintain a pipeline of customer accounts through client visits and attendance of relevant conferences
  • Collaborate with scientific team to develop proposals for clients to support contract services for bioanalysis, pharmaceutical testing, and analytical and structural characterization
  • Nurture and build upon existing customer relationships
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets

Candidate Qualifications

  • Scientific background in chemistry / biochemistry / related field (PhD is preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven success in a sales or business development role for laboratory services
  • Technical knowledge of high resolution mass spectrometry and biologics characterization is ideal
  • Versatile personality with proven interpersonal and customer-facing skills


  • Annual base salary of $110-140K + commission
