Applications Scientist – Fluorescence Imaging

Baltimore, MD

Our client is seeking a personable and experienced scientist knowledgeable in histology and preclinical imaging techniques. The successful candidate will pair their technical background with strong interpersonal skills to support and train customers and develop new applications for biological research.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Pre-sales support, including sample analysis, data processing, and customer presentations
  • Post-sales support, including instrument training and occasional customer visits
  • Collaborate with customers and develop new application notes and white papers
  • Attend conferences and trade shows; participate in market development and expansion of company visibility

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of an M.S. in a relevant scientific field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of histology and rodent physiology
  • Background in preclinical & fluorescence imaging techniques
  • Experience with 2D and/or 3D image processing techniques and software (e.g., Image J) is a plus
  • Ability and openness to travel and excellent interpersonal skills and communication


  • $100-120K salary
  • Annual 20% bonus
